MOM FELL OFF THE PLANE!!! HELP!! HELP!! MOM FELL OFF THE PLANE!! OH, NO! WE NEED SOME HELP HERE!
I was beside myself!! The phone call from Mom came on Monday night. The big man answered the phone. Mom was crying. She said she had an accident and FELL OFF THE PLANE. My ears went straight up, my eyes were popping out of my head and I started hissing and running all around the house. I ran up the stairs real fast and back down them. I didn't know what to do but then realized I was just getting tired so I jumped up on the table to listen.
Well, you might KNOW she had been to that really bad place called Atlanta where only bad things happen. She was there for just a while and then left to be in a place where it is very hot right now called Richmond. The plane stopped right out there by the runway and the people had to get off the plane and walk across the run way to the airport. Mom called it a tarmac, but I don't know what that is. Mom and the other people had to walk down these really little steps to get off the plane and MOM FELL OFF! She did, she FELL OFF THE PLANE.
Those airplane people were very nice to her. They helped her get up off the runway but she couldn't stand up. They got her a chair with big wheels on it. They called a truck with loud flashing lights on it that came to get her. The people all helped her. They wrote things down and put ice on her. They loaded her in the big truck with lights and drove very fast to the hospital. Poor, poor Mom. Poor Mom. I just couldn't stand it. The big man was all upset, I was all upset. We called Mom's people Mom and she was all upset. The people kids were upset, we were all so upset that I had to take a nap just to recover from the phone call!
Mom had to stay in a hospital in the place called Richmond all by herself for a long time that night. She has a broke ankle. They put this thing on her foot called a cast and told her that her foot does not work anymore so don't even try to use it. They gave her sticks to walk with. Now, I'm not sure how all that works with people because people only have 2 legs. We cats have 4 so if one breaks, we still have 3 we can use. Mom could hop around I guess, with just one leg. Having those sticks to walk with makes her like a cat with 3 legs, so maybe she'll get around.
Anyway, after the hospital people kept her for a while, they told her to go home. But she didn't have a home in the place called Richmond! She only had a hotel. The hospital people put my Mom in a yellow car and sent her away all by herself with 3 suitcases and a foot that doesn't work any more! I was so mad at those hospital people! They could have taken her home with them or something. How was Mom supposed to carry her suitcases around with a broke foot holding sticks to walk on? I started hissing again and bit the big man. He should have figured something out.
The big man found out the yellow car and the hotel were very, very nice to Mom. It was in the very middle of the night when the yellow car took her to the hotel. They helped Mom get to her room and carried her 3 suitcases for her. They brought her ice for her broke foot. I'm glad they were nice because I was ready to go over to Richmond and scratch somebody over it.
The people that fly the planes made a place for Mom on the very next plane to come home. And I guess they figured out that Atlanta is a bad place because this time they sent her to a place called Cincinnati to get home. She had to ride in chairs with big wheels and they had to put her a machine to lift her into the planes parked on the runways. The big man and Mom's people mom and dad hurried to the airport to pick her up. I wanted to go too but the big man shooed me away. He just gets on my nerves so bad sometimes.
Everyone was so glad to see poor Mom in the chair with big wheels. Poor Mom was so tired when the big man finally toted her in the house. I was waiting for her and got on the bed and purred and purred. She was glad to see me too. I know her broke foot was hurting so I curled up and slept on it to keep it warm. I guess the big man got jealous because he shooed me off of her foot and put me outside. I'm going to scratch him when he comes home today.
He did let me in the house today. I've been so stressed that I can do is take naps. I just came in to check on Mom. She is working on her computer in the kitchen. She can't go upstairs to her office with the new desk and she is sad about that. She is mad too because her foot is broke and she can't walk without sticks. She has to go to a real important doctor this week to see about getting her foot fixed.
You know, I like having Mom at home but if she's going to sit around being all mad and stuff, I'd just assume she go back to Atlanta. I like it when everyone is happy and acting cool. I fit in better because I am a happy, cool cat.
