I thought I had the night to myself. I was on the porch in the front when I heard the big man get up this morning before the sun was up. He always lets me in when he gets up so I got up and started to the garage. Well, that mean big grey cat was hiding in the front bushes! And he whooped me! The big man heard it and came out. At least he wasn't half nekkid in sleeping clothes!
He didn't have to call me or anything, as soon as the big grey cat heard him, he took off. I'm getting tired of that big grey cat. I don't know where he lives or who his people are. He may be a homeless cat or something. I just get tired of getting whooped.
Things happened at our house today and I don't know why. A man came in a big truck and had another big thing with him. Then a truck came and pulled in our yard. Other people got out. One man got in a box and pushed buttons. The box went way up in the air beside one of poor Mom's big trees. When the box with the man was almost to the top, he pulled out a loud cutting thing called a chain saw. The tree parts started falling down!
I was scared! I ran in the house with poor Mom and we watched for a minute from the window. I just couldn't believe the tree was falling apart, but it was! The men stayed all day and just kept cutting tree parts off until there were none left. Then they cut up the parts on the ground, put them in the big truck and drove away.
I told poor Mom that she should have called the police or something because those people STOLE OUR WHOLE TREE. They did! There is no tree left. It is all gone. The big man is going to be so mad when he gets home and sees that someone stole our tree. I like poor Mom a lot, she does still give cat treats - just not all the time - but if she tells the big man that she doesn't know what happened to our tree, I'm tattling on her.
The sun makes me hot. The trees keep the sun off me, which helps me stay cool. It is real important that I stay cool because I always want to be a cool cat.
